In 1961 President John F. Kennedy planted the vision of a man on the moon by the end of the decade.  And so it happened; a glimpse of our world with no divisions.
    Recently the special General Conference of our denomination voted narrowly to retain the traditional position of the church that the practice of homosexuality is incompatible with Christian teaching.  This invited Pastor Nick to deliver a sermon filled with energy and hope.  Transfiguration suggests a temporary glimpse at our world with no divisions and with a commitment to work toward that future when we in the church are one in mind and heart.
