Sermon: “How You Look to God”

The Sixth Sunday in Pentecost*, July 9, 2017

Scripture Link: Romans 7:15-25a

How we look to others: this can preoccupy us a good bit of our time. But how God looks at us: this is the prime question and source of our joy. Though we were taught that the purpose of creation is to know, love and serve God, is not the purpose of creation rather for us to be known, loved and served by God!?

*The names of the Sundays are taken from Pastor’s book, The Bible Through the Seasons: A Three-Year Journey with the Bible. There are thirteen Sundays in the season of Pentecost — summer in the north, winter in the south.
