The memory of the Armistice at the end of World War I, one hundred year ago today, sobers us with the astounding loss of life in that war.  It turned out that it was not “The war to end all wars.”  When one side of a war wins, the other side loses, and casts a smoldering energy of anger and “get backs.”  Hence, World War II.  We honor the memory of Desmond Doss featured in the film, “Hacksaw Ridge.”
