Meet Our Church Leaders

Pastor Rene

Reverend Rene Yon Pak was born in Korea but grew up in the United States. She is a bi-lingual and bi-cultural Korean-American. Rene graduated from Linden High School, then attended Rutgers University where she majored in Chemistry. She has an M.Div. from Drew Theological Seminary. So, can we say she is a “Jersey girl?” She would love that. And later she attended Episcopal Divinity School in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

In 1995, Rene was ordained as an elder in the Greater New Jersey Annual Conference. She has been serving cross-cultural appointments throughout her ministry in the greater New Jersey area. She has been in the Jersey Shore area since 2014.

Pastor Rene has a two-point charge, serving at Lakehurst United Methodist Church and at our sister church, Faith Community United Methodist Church in Bayville. She enjoys hiking bicycling, and yoga. She considers herself a pilgrim on foot, not just walking the pilgrimage route of the Camino de Santiago [The Way of Saint James] both in Spain and Portugal, but also right here where she lives. You may see her walking along the Jersey Shore boardwalks or along the Pine Barrens’ trails.

Rick Rickabaugh

Hello. My name is Rick Rickabaugh. I am blessed to be serving as the chairperson of our Pastor Parish Relations Committee. My wife, Pat, (pictured with me in the photo) have been residents of Brick for the past 43 years. Several years ago, circumstances changed and we needed to find a new Church home. We wanted to find “a place where everybody knows your name and they’re always glad you came.” We found that experience on our first visit to Lakehurst United Methodist and believe that you can too.

Don’t miss your opportunity. You only get one chance to be a visitor here; from then on you are a part of this wonderful loving community.
Hope to see you soon.
