Team Vital helps leaders create a strategic ministry plan using the 5 markers of vitality: Worship, Making New Disciples, Small Groups, Mission and Giving. Each church receives individual technical support, monthly consulting and other resourcing opportunities from the conference. Churches regroup periodically to assess their progress and share lessons learned. Churches learn from each other, collaborate, support and hold each other accountable to pursue their ministry plans. It’s all about working together.
Now that Team Vital as helped the church to go down the runway and lift off with focus on small groups, the congregation is now at “cruising altitude” and is being transformed into “Church Vital” Join us for the first of bi monthly church gatherings about a potluck luncheon on September 17 after worship. Share, rejoice and offer who you are to the future of the congregation!
As a part of Team Vital, congregations come along side one another as they:
- assess their own communities and ministry assets
- become equipped for effective ministry
- plan future ministry
- receive technical support for putting their plans into action
- and as a result grow in their vitality
The focus for the Lakehurst UMC began with small groups.
Over half of the congregation is so involved.
They are experiencing the growing support of one another in the context of faith and love.
Next we will turn our attention to our immediate neighbors about the church, preparing
a door hanger with an attractive format and message of welcome.
